Academy Day and Calendar

The Academy day starts at 08.00, all students are expected to arrive by 07.50 and finish at 16.30

Homework

Homework is important because it is at the intersection between home and school. It serves as a window through which you can observe your child’s education and express positive attitudes towards your child and their education.

Weekday Homework

There is an expectation that students do one hour of homework and half an hour of reading every day during the week. The days of the week are reserved for five faculties; Maths, English, Science, Languages and Humanities.

The Homework Timetable is:

  • Monday: Humanities A (due in on Tuesday) and English (due in on Friday)
  • Tuesday: Maths (due in on Wednesday)
  • Wednesday: Languages (due in on Thursday)
  • Thursday: Humanities B (due in as instructed by class teachers)
  • Friday: Sciences (due in on Monday)

Weekend Homework

Faculties rotate in issuing research and case study types of work over the weekend for students.
